Every time I think or say ‘The Monotrons’ it conjures up images of black and white Doctor Who episodes with William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton. In some ways I think that someone should create a Doctor Who enemy called ‘The Monotrons’, and they should try to take over the universe with strange sounds and really cool analogue synthesis. I am well and truly of topic here!
Anyway, apart from the above, the Monotrons are simply amazing tiny analogue synths from Korg. When the first Monotron arrived I was so impressed, and when they followed that up with the next two I knew that they’d be good. And they were. You can get some great deals on Monotrons via eBay, and all three are worth having.
