Pix Remix

I’ve posted about this app before. Pix Remix gives you the ability to create slideshows using your photos and add pan and zoom to them too. You can share them via email, facebook or twitter.

iLounge on 8 new iphone photography apps

iLounge has a post on 8 new iPhone photography apps. I’ve used one or two photography apps but I haven’t seen any of the newer apps, so I found this quite useful.

New Version of TrakAx Mobile soon? Maybe …

I posted a while ago about the new version of TrakAx Mobile. Then today I noticed another post on their blog, which I assumed was an update. However, it appears to be the same post, and at the end it says that they hope for a release date in mid-July.

I’ve been waiting for this update since June, and I’ll really looking forward to it. There are some amazing new features in this release, including:

  • Pan and zoom effects for still images
  • Expanded transition choices
  • Photo and video effects and borders
  • Improved text rendering and colour choice
  • Improved media search
  • Themes for credits

Let’s hope they get the new version out soon.

Muvee Show now discontinued

I stumbled over the muvee site when I was browsing through Handango looking for art and video. I’d forgotten all about this app, so I’ve loaded it on my Treo 750 and it works fine.

It is nowhere near as good as something like TrakAx mobile, but currently I can’t get that working on my Treo as the screen size is not supported. So, while I wait for the people at TrakAx to fix that, I thought I’d try out a few other apps.

Muvee is actually a very simple little app, and just makes little slide shows from still images, and adds a theme to them as well. For what it is there’s nothing wrong with it, but I was expecting more to be honest.

TrakAx Mobile on the verge of a major upgrade

TrakAx Mobile is expecting a huge upgrade very soon. There are some amazing new features in this release, including:

  • Improved text rendering and colour choice
  • Improved media search

This is what the new mix screen will look like:

Here is the expanded transitions and new effects:

The pan and zoom features for still images will make using them mixed in with video far more straightforward.

Searching for media looks like it will be easier using a date driven search.

All in all this will be a really significant upgrade to TrakAx Mobile. It is excellent to see it being developed and going from strength to strength.

TrakAx 1st experiment

This is the first thing I’ve made with TrakAx Mobile, and it is really growing on me. The app is truly amazing. This short film was made with some images I created using NinerPaint (Palm OS), and Music using Bhajis Loops (Palm OS) combined using fades and mixing in TrakAx. It was really easy to make and rendered quickly on my Dell Axim.

I’ve just started playing with mixing video too. When I’ve got something more complex I’ll post that too, and a full review when I get used to the app.
