Medly – Music Maker has gone from strength to strength and in version 3.4 brings a bunch of new stuff. But, as I said in the title it’s the last version that will be available for 32bit machines. Here’s what’s new:
New Instruments
Added 4 new (free) instruments:
- Bright Synth, Womp Synth, Chicago Bass, Clanked Bass
Also added some instruments to existing packs!
- Classical: Brass Stab, Kalimba, Music Box, Choir
- Jazz: Muted Trumpet, Double Bass, Old School Keyboard, Rodes Keyboard
- Rock: Modern Bass, Guitar Synth, Pluck Synth, Metal Kit
Lastly, redid a few instruments
- Rock: all 6 electric guitars
- Trance: Square, Saw, Harmony, Overdrive
Important Note
“This will be the last major update for 32-bit devices. The next major update, Medly 4.0, will no longer support: iPhone 4, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPad Mini 1, iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPad 4.
Computing demands for audio processing have outpaced 32-bit devices. And as we continued to add new features, such as audio automation, pitch bending, and video export, we found that these devices couldn’t support them.”
