Video: Rock Drill 4069 synth (kit)

Video description:

“The Rock Drill 4069 is the new synth kit from This beginner-friendly kit is touch controlled and makes some of the meanest sounds around. PS – sorry about the clicks – these are some problems with my recorder and aren’t true to the real sound.”

Reminds me a bit of the Mute Synth I actually. You can find out more about the Rock Drill at the Lush Projects site.

Updates from Art Kerns … new app coming, updates after that, then music!

Audreio, it’s free, and updated

I posted this morning about Audreio being free. It is, but also it’s been updated too. In version 2.0 there’s a bunch of new stuff. Here’s what:

  • New! Remote audio connections. Stream high quality audio to anywhere in the world. The first 30 minutes are free after creating an Audreio account!
  • New! Two-way connections with the Audreio plugin, receive audio and simultaneously send the microphone or an IAA app.
  • Several fixes and audio streaming performance improvements.

Video: Sidecar 1.2

Video description:

“Sidecar is an iOS app designed for slide-over and side-by-side view on the iPad (with iOS 9). It features IAA hosting, a mixer, built-in audio recording, and a web server for recording access. It can also stream audio over WiFi to Apollo Sound Injector.

Sidecar also features ten pages of configurable MIDI pads, that can be set up for notes, chords, or either CC or PC messages. In the video, one of the pads is set to adjust the bit crush parameter in Animoog (which sounds pretty harsh here — just trying to make something that’s easy to hear in the YT video).”

Video: Noatikl 3 – Modifying and mixing a Noatikl piece

Video description:

“This piece is quite a complex piece that use a number of techniques to create the arpeggiation, chording and also sounds. The piece has been provided as a Wotja Music URL for those that want to hear it live. For those who want to see how it is all done, and maybe even remix it, then from Wotja, export the Custom Backing and import into Noatikl 3! Wotja Music URL:

Some of the techniques used:

  • Voice of Fixed Pattern “Rhythm” type with chording
  • Following that voice with other voices and follow delays to create an arpeggiation
  • Global Delay FX for additional depth
  • Changing MIDI line for a voice, so as to use a different PSE Sound Network
  • DSynth network configuration and parameter changing for a melodic percussive sound
  • Drift for automatic mixing

The above only just scratches the surface….”
