Virtuoso is a new instrument app for iPhone. Here’s the app’s description:

The user can act as a performer – a virtuoso in his own right – with this app, calling for a bit of choreography from the user. By moving the device around, while touching down one or multiple fingers on the screen, the user can control and manipulate 5 different electronic sounds, all of them refering to classical electronic music, in the vein of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Morton Subotnick and others.

While activating and selecting each desired sound, the user generates a 15-second musical composition and a simple graphical user interface, from a build-in algorithmic composition-setup. This composition will play with the selected sounds, whenever the fingers are released from the screen.
