Organisers of the Music Production Expo, taking place at North London’s Emirates Stadium on 14-15 November, have announced plans for an enormous, exciting gear give away competition open to visitors during the show.

Introducing KORG iOS app : AudioPocket for volca sample (video)

I watched this again and just found it so hilarious that I had to post it again. It reminds me of sampling stuff using early hardware like the SK-1.

Joking aside I think that this is really impressive and it makes me want a volca sample a little too much I think.

Phonebloks update – Ara Prototype (video)

If Android starts to get better audio latency then this could be a serious contender for music making if the right sorts of modules appear.

Auxy in the Guardian!

This is impressive stuff. The Guardian talks about Auxy and compares it to a few classy apps, although I was slightly bemused by the reference to Pacemaker DJ.

That’s a pretty auspicious start for any app!
