This week on the DMT 1-2-1 show an interview with Benjaman Schogler, Creative Director at Skoog Music. The company produces the Skoog, a brand new instrument designed to allow people with the widest possible range of abilities and disabilities to make music. The Skoog today is used in a variety of educational and therapeutic settings as well as by musicians who enjoy the freedom afforded by the instrument.
Research around the instrument started in an academic setting back in 2006 but the company’s journey really began in early 2010 after its first round of funding.
During today’s show Benjaman talks about the development of the Skoog, its use in a variety of different scenarios, its interface, software and lots more. This week’s show is very visual so I’d recommend listeners to head on to check out the video version.
