I’m not sure if this will be an iPad 2 only app or not, but even so it says to me that maybe Apple are starting to take mobile music more seriously on the iPad.
The first indication was of course CoreMIDI, but adding Garage Band to the iPad makes me think that they are moving more into mobile music creation. I hope it continues, and I hope that at some point we see Logic move over to iOS.
So, it is what most expected. iPad 2 with cameras, thinner, faster etc. I have to admit it looks nice, although no news on when or how much in the UK as yet.
I have to admit I do like the look of it, but as yet I’m not certain I’ll make the jump as yet.
As always I’m really interested in what you think about the iPad 2, and if you’ll be buying one.
The store is down. There’s less than an hour to go. What do you want them to announce?
This is the first update to this app in a while and an interesting addition of Line6’s MIDI mobilizer. Here’s the details of the update:
- Added support for MIDI Mobilizer allowing complete MIDI control of all functions. Works as before without MIDI.
- Improved event recognition
- Fixed some minor bugs
A good update for this versatile and free controller:
- Now includes Monome Emulation interface
- Added a backgroundColor parameter to all widgets.
- Added label parameter for Buttons and MultiButtons to automatically create labels without the need for an extra widget
- You can now specify what port Control receives OSC messages on
Controller and sampler in one app? Appears to be so …
Oraison is a music software application that allows you to use a multi-touch screen as a control interface for software synthesizers, audio effects, digital audio workstations, and other applications. Oraison enables you to create interfaces using its library of buttons, sliders, and other components and to configure these components to send out MIDI or OSC messages whenever and however you think best. Oraison also comes with a built in sampler, and it allows you to download sounds directly from freesound.org and use them in your interfaces.
The app is priced at $9.99
