I’m not sure about this app as it is from the same developer who made BeatSequencer. Anyway, here’s the description:

IDX-16 is a application that allows users to manipulate sounds into patterns. It includes pre-made beats, samples and editable drum kits. It was developed by: A. Todman, who is mostly known as the artist named Insight. (www.insight.fm)
Insight is an MC, DJ, and Producer who believes that doing what other artists have done is too easy. He put his knowledge of audio to the test by developing the software used to create his music. The IDX was a fun way for him to combine his production and programming skills into an interactive experience. Beats included, such as ‘Hi Piano’ were released on vinyl years ago.

This application is another way to enjoy or manipulate instrumentals, and not a complete music creation environment. Depending on how creative you are, you can still make great beats with it. Check out the videos online for some examples. When Insight has time, more features will be added. Hope you enjoy.

  1. Looks amazing, but then I saw it was made by Insight. I hope it's a good app, but this guy is not to be trusted. I waited to post my negative comments on his Beatsequencer app to see if he would fix the app, he never did. As a matter of a fact Beatsequencer for iPhone/Touch has disappeared, but of course an iPad version showed up. I'd bet that it's the same app with the same bad MIDI timing, broken file upload and from what I've heard may not even launch if you're unlucky. What do you expect from a guy who puts a Bio and photos of himself in his app rather than instructions?

  2. Ok this app is way better than the other app beatsequencer
I think that's the name of it.

I paid for that app and to this day I can't use it!
I tried it on the iPad still the same issue, crashes and has latency really bad!

This app runs but it suffers greatly with latency issues!

From what  I can see the app has this glowing background deal
Whereas the pads and buttons shine. This animation is probably using up all the resources!
I can't quickly compose a beat due to latency!

It's hard to keep my inspiration due to the app lagging behind my performance!

I think it may be the way you code your apps or something!
The ideas you have are awesome it's the app itself that gets in the way of it's use!

I once again paid for this app, I hope I can use it!

You are lucky I don't work for apple because this app would only make the approval process based on the latency issues being solved. Latency makes this app of no real professional use!

I like it but want to use it!!!!!!!
