COLOSSUS Sequencer and Synth

These kits seem to be available for ordering now although the page suggests there are a few days to wait.

The video gives a fairly useful overview too. I might make an order myself.

iShred … coming soon

Thanks to ROBMAN84 for pointing me in the direction of this app from Frontier Designs. It looks a little like 4Pockets Stompbox app, but with a guitar if I’ve got this right.

I think I’ll have to keep an eye out for this one.

Noise IO Pro 1.2.2 coming

Like many others I got an email from Noise IO. Here’s what’s coming:

1) Since version 1.2, Noise.io Pro users can record and export their recordings into the excellent Intua’s Beatmaker ( http://intua.net ). Thus, users are able to create music instantly on the iPhone, without computer. This is the first time when two iPhone apps can be used together and exchange data.

2) .WAV output to PC/Mac is no longer a problem, via the built-in browser-based server. This whole system is called ioLibrary and we will also soon release a free utility app to work with the files in the library from the iPhone.

3) We’re working on the Midi-over-Wi-fi solution, will use time-proven iTouchMidi solution for these purposes ( http://itouchmidi.com ). When we finish, Noise.io Pro will act and feel like a 21st century hardware synth 🙂

4) Soon Noise.io Pro 1.2.2 will be released, it will contain the new factory sound bank called “Impressive Vibes”. You can find the new bank and the instructions for downloading here: http://noise.io/presets

Please, if you like Noise.io Pro and have a couple of free minutes, leave us a review in the AppStore here: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=294767228&mt=8

It will help the development of Noise.io Pro a lot. Thanks in advance!

You can visit http://noise.io for more information on the listed enhancements.

Noise IO Pro available at the iTunes App Store

Marshall Micro Amp

When I went to the Resonance hardware hacking workshop I saw a load of people using these little amps, so I thought I’d try one as I needed something like this. So far, I’m very impressed indeed.

Essentially it is just good for home use when testing stuff and experimenting. I’ve been connecting it to a breadboard circuit and it has worked fine.

iPhone Multitracks vs MeTeoR

I was thinking about MeTeoR for 4Pockets and how their multitrack for Windows Mobile compares against the three 4 track apps for the iPhone.

Well, for a start the iPhone ones only have 4 tracks, and MeTeoR has 12.

Check out the original post for MeTeoR and see what you think.

DS-10 MIDI Clock Sync

Korg DS-10 NDS MIDI clock sync. Not sure what’s going on in this video, the blog post from Little Scale doesn’t really explain what’s happening or how.
